Girls Will be Girls

passing-notes

My search for information all started the moment I saw him, “the love of my life”. I was just a short chubby little sixth grader and he was the most beautiful creature I had ever laid my eyes on. My first thought, ” What is his name? His number? Does he think I’m cute?” This is when the planning started. How would I find out all of this very useful information. I called in all of the reinforcements: Kaitlyn, Lauren, Megan, and Summer. Our plan, not to talk him like normal human beings, but to follow him around and drop “subtle” hints. Then the magic idea of the note came. We were all hanging out in my room one day when the perfect song came on, “Check yes or no” by George Strait. Our first instinct to get some paper and write the words, ” Do you like me? Check yes or no?”  The next day at school I saw him, handed him the note, and ran away. After waiting the horrible and cruel hour in between class periods, I finally got the information I needed and wanted so badly. As I opened the note my heart sank as I read the word, “yes”. The first time I ever realized I wanted information may not seem that important, but to my sixth grade heart it was the best piece of information I could have ever received.
