MN: So this week I was really busy with recruitment so I only had time to interview my friends. This is the oldest friend I interviewed, and he was quite a delight to interview as well. Even though I knew a lot about him he still took the time to answer all of questions thoroughly and in detail, and he was able to suggest questions that I should ask other people as well that I interview, hence where the Donald Trump question came into play. It was a great interview and even though they were a friend it didn’t ruin the integrity of the interview.
TN: I think the interview went so well because I had a level of trust in him that even if I was struggling or a bit nervous the interview will still go well, and that’s a trust that you cannot get from a stranger, I also really appreciated him giving me suggestions about questions to ask other people, and that’s particularly when it comes down to interview alumni who are gonna be complete strangers
PN: So this was one of my friends and we were about having really stressful and nerve racking weeks, so I appreciate that this interview was calm, cool, and collected. I was extremely hungry during this interview about it had taken place at 11am and I had not had the time to grab any food that day, so I was absolutely starving. Also, the date was 3 days away so was stressed and thinking about that, so I was not as focused on the interview at times than maybe I should be.
SN: He is from Central High School, a school that is rural in which not many kids go off to college. His parents were honestly shocked that he went to college, and the community thought he was gonna stay and keep working at McDonalds, but he had higher aspirations for himself. He first heard about Montevallo through Instagram and he's been hooked ever since, as this was the only choice he had of school. He is a Chemistry Major, and his only real concern was keeping himself Motivation. He arrived at school in August 2015 and he only missed 2 classes his first day. He really enjoyed Dr. Mahaffrey ENG 101 class his freshman year, and he wants to be a part of the Minority Student Union. He is a GV through and through, and that’s been really good for him. He also lives Lund but wants to get an apartment this summer. He said that during the Donald Trump election everyone was drunk and day-drinking. He thinks Montevallo has made the biggest impact when it comes to making him the person he is today.
