MN: This interview went fantastic, and it was personally fantastic for me (we will get to that later). She was engaged, I was able to ask good questions based off what she had said already. I was able to tap into a section of questions that I hadn’t really had to use before and that was dealing with transfer student because she originally went to a junior college. She also decided to take a year off, so she had a full 3 years before she even got to Montevallo so there was a lot already to tap into with her before she even stepped on campus.
TN: She actually had taken Sociology 101 with me before this interview. So, she was already very intrigued about the project and she was eager to participate in it. We had talked beforehand about all the different parts of the interview and what the questions would entail, so she went into this interview having a 100% understanding about what's to come. I'd also knew her beforehand and talked to her quite a bit, so this was not like it was the first time we'd spoken and there was going to be that awkward barrier between each other.
PN: So I had a crush on her throughout Sociology last semester and my thought was "Hey maybe I can get to know her more by interviewing her". She said yes to the interview so if I realized we had a lot in common it would be easier to see if I could ask her on a date. So, the interview went really well and I found out we had a lot in common. After the interview we continued to talk for about 1 ½ more hours, and I finally got the courage to ask her on a date to the Tavern, in which she replied yes. This interview rocked for many reasons.
SN: She is from Moretimer High School in Georgia, it a decent sized school. Her parents always said it had to be college, but she didn't think she was ready for a 4-year University, so she enrolled in Faulker University for nursing. She had no fears about going to college but stated that she didn’t like her time while at Faulkner, comparing it to an extension of high school. She decided to take a year off of college while decided where she wanted to go next, but her best friend and roommate at Faulkner dragged her to a tour at Montevallo and she fell in love with the place. Her Mom was very excited with her going to Montevallo while her dad was not. She switched her major to Early Ed when she arrived at Montevallo. She is involved in the Exercise Science Club at Montevallo as well as in Chi Omega. One of her happiest days on campus was seeing that she and her best friend got a bid to the same sorority. She lives in Hanson and hopes to move on the hall next semester. Even though she's been stressed out by classes and finals, she is still hopeful for what the future brings at Montevallo.
