Fears?: Being in my own and knowing I'd had to work hard to keep my scholarship
First Day: It was okay I guess, I fell on my ass outside of the SAC
Classes: I really enjoyed Dr. Sterner's Nature of Mathematics class, it is making me consider being a math major.
Clubs: I'm in Spectrum as all as Young Democrats
Where do you live? I live on Lund right outside the Chi Omega hall, I'm considering moving over to Napier next year though.
Major? I'm still undecided but I think I'm going to be a Math major
PV or GV: I'm PV, I'm still pissed off that we lost last weekend
Favorite Moment? The Life Raft debate, is it just a bunch of teachers roasting each other.
Quirky School: I love how quirky this school is, it makes it a lot more fun be here
Impact: It's helped me grow into the young man I am today

MN: This interview was run-of-the-mill. The questions I asked her my basic set because even though we had 45 minutes to spend on this interview, he spent 10 minutes in the bathroom and another 5 getting Moes. I got some really good content I think for the interview. As it was this interview in which I decided I wanted to talk more about the quirkier sides on the school, and why it is Alabama's gay school. Ironically, he was also a gay man, and he seemed to cherish that this school had that title.
TN: The interview could have been better if he was present for all of it, but I still think it ran smoothly. These interviews are seeing to click better with the quirkier students I've interviewed. I go back to the interview with the now openly gay man at Montevallo and how he went on a long rant about his quirky self and how he enjoys a school that as the same outlook at he does. This interview was no different. By far the best answers I got were from when he was discussing how this school fits his personality. I think that's where I want to tap into throughout this process.
PN: He got up to do something else so many times it got on my last nerves. Like man you agreed to do this interview with me, but you spent 1/3 of the time not letting yourself get interviewed. He was a nice guy but that was incredibly annoying and brought added stress to my day that I did not need. On top of that, I was already hungry and someone eating's Moes in front of my face when I was already out of flex points and didn't have the money to get the Moes was annoying.
SN: He went to Prattville High School, which is an urban school in which about 70% of students go to college. It was always expected on him to go to school by his parents, and many in the community thought he was going to go to Auburn. He has an older friend that came here, and that was how originally, he heard about Montevallo. He's undecided currently but he's considering being a math major. He big fears about coming to college involved being way from home and knowing that he was having to work hard to maintain his scholarships. He said his first day of classes were alright, but he fell a lot. He really enjoyed Dr. Strener's Nature of Mathematics class, which has helped decide what he wants to do. He is involved in College Democrats and Spectrum and is a diehard PV. He's embraced the quirky style of the school. The biggest impact this school has had is help him become the young man he is today.
