This interview was about Northern who went to P.D. Jackson Olin High School in the west side of Birmingham area. It was a public city school system and it is in an urban environment. His graduation class was about 150 students and he was a first-generation college student which he mentions that he was influenced by the word of God to go to college to have a better life. He is also an assistant pastor for his main church in the Ensley area in Birmingham. He graduated from JO in 2010 and attended Lawson State Community College in the fall of 2013 studying his general courses. He then transferred to the University of Montevallo in the fall of 2017 as a junior class student and he currently commutes from his parents’ house in Birmingham.

He doesn’t participate in college night because he mentioned he goes straight to class and straight back home on a repeated daily basis. He also mentions that he doesn’t go out to no places around here except to the gas station to fill up gas after class and that’s it on his. He plans on going to get his master’s degree in business; however, he is currently taking classes for his undergrad BA of business. He did mention that café sucks and his high school food from the café is a lot more better than Montevallo’s café food. He says he usually brings his own lunch from the house rather if it’s something simple to make or if its leftover meals that he cooks. He says after all of this is over with his education he wants to have his own business which he is undecided on what to sell for his future shop, but he will figure it out over time.
