Dr. F. M. Peterson
My Dear friend
Your much appreciated letter received. Sorry to hear that you have small pox again in school, but feel sure that you will do all that can be done for the girls, and good of the school.
We had small pox in our family five or six years ago. All had it then Minnie if she had it it was very light. She was sick only a day or two. I hardly think she will take it at all. And we trust you with our daughter for she, Minnie says a better man never lived than you are to all the girls under your care. Says you are like a father to her and loves you very much nearly every letter Something good of Dr. Peterson. You have our best wishes. Hope you may live long & be President of that school for years to come.
Wish you health, prosperity & happiness.
Yours Sincerely,
F.H. Batton
