<text>HS: I went to Rudolph County High School, a very rural school, very few people went to college
Hear about UM?: I was watching Dailymotion and an ad for the school showed up on my phone
UM First Choice: Originally my first choice was going to be Tennessee , but I didn’t have the GPA to get into the school
Declared Major: I came in as Chemistry Major
Why did you come to UM: My family has all to come to UM, and it was my turn to follow suit
What was the final factor: I came for the College Night performances and I loved them.
Any Fears: Going to a school that is better than my whole damn town
Dates: I came on campus August 2017
First Day on Campus: I was focused on trying to find all of my classes
Classes: I really enjoyed Dr. Maxwell math class
Any Clubs: I am apart of Spectrum and URGE
PV or GV: GV and I'm extremely ecstatic right now
Where do you live?: I live on-campus in New Rez
What are you looking forward to in the future?: Meeting new people and keep winning at College Night

MN: So, this sucked. Not in the way that you make a C on a test and you say to yourself "That sucked", but in the way that you want to throw your TV against the wall because you are so sick of this cable going haywire. It was that kind of suck. It was the worst interview that I had and I couldn't wait to get out of that interview fast enough.
TN: The interview was bad. She was a terrible person and I couldn't get out of this interview fast enough. If there is one thing I got from this interview, is it that I don’t think It can ever get worse than this. I actually don't know how I was able to keep my sanity the whole time because for someone who was self-proclaimed as "shy" she was very talkative and annoying.
PN: This interview was exhausted and tiresome, she could only schedule an interview at like 1AM in a McDonalds, which is a very, very scary proposition. She was also kind of a huge asshole and that annoyed because I should have been alseep but I was a good Christian boy and did the interview. She also had like 3 McChickens and she waited at the counter for the order instead of doing the interview.
SN: She is from Randolph County High School, which is a small high school in which not many people go to college. She heard about Montevallo through watching DailyMotion and she researched about the school. She went into school as a Chemistry major. She wanted to go to Tennasee , but she didn’t have the grades to get in to Tennesee. She came to campus August 2017 and she had a bad first day here. She really enjoyed Dr. Maxwell math class. She is involved in college night and she's a GV. She lives in New Rez. She is excited about her future at Montevallo and being a GV.

<text>HS: Opelika High School, average sized school, most of us went to college
Parents: Parents wanted me to go college, didn't have another option
Hear about UM?: I heard about UM actually through a friend who was also applying
Major?: Political Science
Community: They wanted me to go to Auburn, but I had to get away from it all
Fears: Having no friends and no one to talk to at all
First Day: Low-key was scared AF, I thought I was going to get yelled at any second
Classes: I really enjoyed my History class with Dr. Day, he was an awesome teacher
Clubs: I'm apart of College Democrats but that’s it
College Night?: I'm totally a GV, and we are going to get that GV3 baby!!!!!!
Residence?: I live in Brooke and I love it there
Hobbies: I love to read horror novels and watch Netflix
Impact: Montevallo has been really fun so far and I'm excited for the future that I have here
Future: I'm very excited about going Greek next year.

MN: This interview was pretty run-of-the-mill. Nothing interesting happened, but it was a solid interview nonetheless and I was able to get some pretty good information out of it, which is all you can really ask for sometimes. I also really liked her personality, I would simple but yet really element at the same time, and It made the interview really relaxed and mundane, which was easier for me to write stuff down and get all the information
TN: Even though it was a good interview, I was not able to get much out of it, partly because she was very busy that day and we could only interview for a short amount of time, and that limited the questions I could ask, so I stuck with basic ones. She also was fairly new on campus and still was overwhelmed by the whole idea of college, but that did not affect the interview too much, but it could have been better.
PN: This interview took place next to Moes, but I have no money. So it was very hard to watch my interviewee eat a burrito while I had no money for food. I also had run out of swipes that Sunday, so I was starving, and she was not helping at all. It was also mid-day and I was partying the night before so I wasn't in the best mindset to do an interview but that is not a valid excuse to cancel on somebody.
SN: She is from Opelika High School, which is a relatively decent school with a good bit of people who went to college. College was always going to be a thing for her, and she heard about UM through a friend who was also applying there. She is a Political Science major, and despite her community wanting her to stay in town, she knew she wanted to go out and she the rest of the state. She was worried about not knowing anybody, and that feel following her through her first day at school. She really enjoying her history class and being apart of College Democrats, and she is a hardcore Gold. She lives in Brooke and loves it there. She is excited about the future and going Greek next fall. </text>

              <text>Interview 1:
HS: Chitia High School, not very big, graduating class about 360, a lot of people went to school
Motivation: Always wanted to go to college
Parents: My mom did not finish high school, Parents pushed me to go to school
Hear about UM?: Through the mail
Reasons to stay Local: No interest in leaving, Health problems
Major: Undeclared
Fears?: Not feeling very smart, having to make a whole new set of friends
First Day: Very awkward, didn't know anybody
Favorite Class?: History, though I liked them all but Art Awareness
Best Friends?: Olivia and Dakota
Clubs: I haven't joined any clubs
College Night: I don't even know what college night is
Residence: Commuter but I may live on campus next fall
Hobbies: Hanging out with family and friends
Caf: I've never been to the cafertia
Impact: I've really enjoyed the classes here in my first semester and I'm very excited for the future for me here

MN: This interview was done with someone who I knew for a good bit of time in my History class but I didn't know all that well at all. So this interview was a chance to get to know her a bit, and I really enjoyed the experience of the interview. She was very engaged in the interview despite not knowing much or eve being very interested in Sociology as a whole. Even though she isn't all that involved on campus and does not know what college night is, It didn't affect the interview in the slightest
TN: I think this interview was able to go so well because it was based more on her time before college and mining deep into that part of her life. This is her first semester on campus and coming in the spring it is really hard to get settled in and find your place on campus. We also focused a lot of what kept her from coming to school in the fall, which I thought was very interesting as this was the first person who I interviewed who did not come to school in the fall
PN: This interview took place outside and it was absolutely beautiful, and it really helped with the positive flow of the interview that it took place in such a nice setting. She was a very nice and sweet person so that helped the interview to be one of the most pleasant experiences I had doing this project, the only issue is I was very hungry, and my stomach kept moaning throughout the interview, but that hasn't not been the case with a lot of these interviews.
SN: She went to school at Chitla High School, and fairly small school but a lot of kids went to college. She always wanted to go to school and her parents have always pushed her to do her best as well. She decided to stay close to home because she had no interest leaving and she has multiple medical problems. She is currently undecided on her major. Her fears about college would be not being very smart and having to make new friends. Despite a rocky start on her first day of school, she has been able to settle in partly due to making friends with Dakota and Olivia. She is not in a club and somehow has never heard about college night. Though she is a commuter, she has been thinking about moving on to campus her next year. She loved her classes and how Montevallo has impacted her as a person. </text>

<text>HS: I went to Huntsville High School, urban school, most of my friends went to college
Parents: My parents both went to college, so they assumed I would too
Connections to UM: My Uncle went to school at Montevallo
Community Outlook: They assumed I would be going to UAH, but I couldn't stay in town
Major?: FCS Major
Fears?: Being in my own and knowing I'd had to work hard to keep my scholarship
First Day, I've had better, but I met a really cute guy
Classes: I really enjoyed Dr. Maxwell Nature of Mathematics class, it is making me consider being a math major.
Clubs: I'm not in any clubs yet
Where do you live? I live on Brooke right outside the Chi Omega hall, I'm considering moving over to Hanson next year though.
PV or GV: I'm GV, and we won bitches!!!!!!
Favorite Moment? College Night, because I enjoy winning more than anything
Quirky School: I love how quirky this school is, it makes it a lot more fun be here
Impact: It's helped me grow into the young lady I am today

MN: This interview was bad. The questions I asked her my basic set because even though we had 45 minutes to spend on this interview, she spent 10 minutes in the bathroom and another 5 texting her boyfriend and snap-chatting him and I almost ripped my throat out. I got crappy content I think for the interview, but I do what I can. it was this interview in which I decided I wanted to talk more about the quirkier sides on the school, and why it is Alabama's gay school. Ironically, she also says she loves the gays but only so she can go shopping with them.
TN: The interview could have been better if she actually paid attention. These interviews are usually starting to click better with the quirkier students I've interviewed, it was bad with her. I go back to the interview with the now openly gay man at Montevallo and how he went on a long rant about his quirky self and how he enjoys a school that as the same outlook at he does. Why can’t the interview be like that, why I cant I have nice things?
PN: She got up to do something else so many times it got on my last nerves. Like lady you agreed to do this interview with me, but you spent 1/3 of the time not letting yourself get interviewed. He was a ight girl but that was incredibly annoying and brought added stress to my day that I did not need. On top of that, I was already hungry and someone eating's Moes in front of my face when I was already out of flex points and didn't have the money to get the Moes was annoying.
SN: He went to Huntsville High School, which is an urban school in which a lot of students go to college. It was always expected on him to go to school by his parents, and many in the community thought he was going to go to UAH . She had that came here, and that was how originally, he heard about Montevallo. He's undecided currently but he's considering being a math major. Her big fears about coming to college involved being way from home and knowing that he was having to work hard to maintain his scholarships. She said his first day of classes were alright, but he fell a lot. He really enjoyed Dr. Maxwell 's Nature of Mathematics class, which has helped decide what he wants to do.She isnt involved in any but but shes diehard GV. Shes embraced the quirky style of the school. The biggest impact this school has had is help him become the young lady she is today

<text>HS: Ben Russell High School, Medium Sized, only a few of my friends went to college
Parents: Parents didn't force me to go to school, it was all my decision
Hear about UM: My dad told me about their music program and I was instantly hooked
Community: They pushed me to go Montevallo, especially the church where I sang at
Major?: I'm a Music and Chemistry Major?
First Choice?: My first choice was Georgia, but I didn’t think a big school was best for me
Fears: Going to a different state for college, also going to a different school than my sister
First Day?: I thought I was gonna die at the Kona Ice party at the SAC, but somehow I survived and I'm here today
Classes: I really enjoyed my music classes, even though they made my first semester really busy
Clubs: I'm actually not apart of any clubs, I was too busy my first semester to really participate
College Night: I'm not actually apart of College Night, I haven't really found my side yet
Residences?: I live in Napier Hall, and it's a mess. I can’t wait to get an apartment my Sophomore Year.
Quirky School: I don't really like it, I'm considering transferring out after 2 years
Impact: I'm not feeling this school yet, but I'm giving it time
Future: I hope I like the school, but If not I'll have to consider transferring

MN: This is the first person I interviewed in which they haven’t enjoyed their time here at Montevallo. He told me would it be okay if he gave negative answers about the school. I said yes because he need to hear all the voices at Montevallo, not just the positive ones. He told me that he's trying to fit into the school, but outside of academics he just hasn't been able to fit in to school yet. Though the interview had a bit of a somber tone, I liked getting it from a different perspective.
TN: Once I knew the interview wasn't going to be all positive, I realized I had to change up my questions and how I was going to ask them. He wasn't in a bad mood during the discussion, but he was not as gleeful as the other people that I've interviewed. But I still think the interview went quite well even despite that issue. I just hope that he changes his heart about the school, because It seems like he wants to love this school and go here.
PN: It was about 1am when this interview took place, so I was already tired. He was also having to do homework at the same time as the interview, so for some of these questions he was not as focused as he could have been. I was also eating some beautiful McDonalds fries, so that part of my life was going great at the moment. His mom also called him mid-interview, so the interview lasted a little longer than I was expecting.
SN: He is from Ben Russell High School, it is a smaller school, and not a ton of his friends ended up going to college. He wanted to go to Georgia but could not afford to tuition, so he ended up at Montevallo instead. His parents said he could do what he wants with his college, and his church really pushed him to get his music degree, he also is a chemistry major as well. Was afraid to go to school because he was going in another state. He oringally enjoyed it here and his classes, but he found himself not really involved in campus and not really enjoying where he stays. He told me he has considered transferring many times. </text>

              <text>Interview 1
HS: McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, very large school, a lot of my friends went to college
Parents: Parents actually encouraged me to go far away for college, wanted me to see what else was out there in Alabama
First Choice: My first choice was originally Auburn University, but I couldn't afford tuition
Hear about UM: My mom was researching colleges for me on day and she told me about Montevallo
Major: Biology Major
Community: My boyfriend broke up with me because he was mad I wasn't going to South Alabama
Fears: My dad has cancer, so not being around to support him scares me
First Day: I loved it, especially the dance party at the SAC
Classes: I loved Tinsley's Biology Class, she confirmed by decision that I wanted to be a Biology major
Clubs: I am a member of College Republicans, even though I'm more of a centrist
College Night: I am a member of Purple Side1
Residence: I live in Main, it's huge and I love it
Quirky: Even though I'm not a liberal, I love how everyone here expresses themselves so freely and openly
Impact: Even though I'm just a freshman, this school has changed me in so many ways
Future?: I'm excited to get older in this school and help mentor young kids.

MN: In the mist of my very busy schedule, I was able to get three interviews in, and luckily, they all went pretty well. This interview was actually with someone who I had known for a long time because she was in both of my English classes, but this is the first time I've ever spoken to her for more than a few minutes. She was a little bit distracted because a lot of her sisters kept saying hi to her in the lobby, she was also trying her best to say focused and she did a pretty good job of giving me good answers to my interview questions.
TN: I would say the interview went pretty okay, it wasn't the best interview I've conducted, but it certainly was not the worst. The most interesting part of the interview was when she spoke about being a college republican, she told me a story about one of her first friends on campus completely ex-commutated her because she found out she was a college Republican, she said that she couldn't associated herself with a Republican. She told me in that moment she considered not coming back to school.
PN: I was exhausted during this interview, the night before I got about 4 hours a sleep and I was not feeling any sort of interviewing, but I told her a time and a place and I wasn; t going to change location, especially because I was so busy this week. I was also hungry because It was about 4 o'clock and I wasn't able to grab lunch due to my schedule. My ex decided to show up as well, so that was a level of annoyance I didn't want to deal with.
SN: She is from McGill Toolen in Mobile, Alabama. She always wanted to go away for college and her parents encouraged her as well. She wanted to go to Auburn University but couldn't pay tuiton, so with the help of her mom, she heard about Montevallo. She is a Biology Major. Her boyfriend was so mad about her leaving that she broke up with her about it. Her fear was her dad having cancer and not being able to be around him as much. Her first day of school was awesome as well as her first classes, with Tinsley 101 class being her favorite. She is a member of college Republicans, and a hardcore Purple Side member. She lives in main and she loves it. She loves how much this school has changed already, and she hopes that she can mentor younger college students when she gets older. </text>
