When researching, it is okay to change topics. There is so much information within the database, and it is both a blessing and a curse. Find your interesting topics, and try not to be too broad. Personally, I had to change multiple times. At first, I was all people of different races and ethnicities, but that proved to be too broad and too much information to sift through. Be nice to yourself and try your best to not overwhelm yourself with too much.
Always write down where you saw something, and keep the link. That is of upmost importance. Losing an article or picture is very frustrating. This happened to me plenty of times, due to me thinking I would remember where it was. Due to the sheer amount of information, its very easy to lose things. Try to stay organized and space your work out as well.
