Description

Henry VII of England is also known as Henry Tudor. Henry’s family is of the Lancastrian line, making him a claimant to the throne of England. After the death of King Edward IV of England, the fight for the throne once again resumed. Henry faced King Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485. He married the eldest daughter of King Edward IV, Elizabeth of York, thus tying the families of York and Lancaster together and ending the War of the Roses. Henry VII of England Reigned from 22 August 1485 to 21 April 1509. He was succeeded by his son Henry VIII of England.
