Description

Dublin was a major city and strategic landmark that was extremely important for the Silken Rebellion's success. Thomas Fitzgerald laid siege to the castle, but failed when the citizens of Dublin all of the sudden gained a sense of loyalty to the king of England, Henry VIII. Thomas was forced to give up the stronghold and await the British forces to attack his castle at Maynooth.
