Description

In 1923, upon completing the transition from Alabama Girls' Technical Institute to Alabama College, State College for Women, a new academic catalog was released. The catalogs looked very similar to previous volumes although it displayed the new name.

More significant changes were made within the text of the catalog. In April 1923, the catalog listed the following Laboratory Fees per quarter:
Art $2.00
Bacteriology $4.00
Biology $3.00
Chemistry $2.00
Food Courses $2.00
Physics $2.00
Clothing Courses $1.00
Use of Typewriter $2.00

In April 1924, Laboratory Fees were listed as the following:
Art $3.00
Bacteriology $4.00
Biology $3.00
Chemistry $2.00
Food Courses $4.50
Physics $2.00
Clothing Courses $1.50
Use of Typewriter $2.00

While costs were slightly raised in the aforementioned fees, a new line item was added altogether. The school was now charging a $12.50 Tuition Fee per quarter, resulting in a $37.50 annual cost on its own.
