Description
Alabama College had a herd of certified Holstein-Friesian cows. The prized cows of Alabama College brought great pride to the school and surrounding community. The cows won numerous state and regional awards for their milk production. In a ten month period the prized cow Knapp Hangervald Johanna produced 11,631.5 pounds of milk. She averaged 95.75 pounds per day during a seven day period in 1923.
